Strawberries from the farmers market, in season and grown locally.
They have ruined me for any other strawberries.

When I was pregnant with Henry, my mom and I would walk the Farmers Market drinking unsweetened hot peach tea from a vendor. We’d fill our baskets with everything in season and little homemade things like a suction cup mini-glass vase with copper wires wound around it.
I’d get home and set down the bags, then eat an entire pint of strawberries in front of the fridge.
